Fast, visual news without pretending rumors are facts.
Our editorial approach
We want stories to feel alive. Headlines can be sharp, emotional and conversational, but they cannot promise something the reporting does not support.
Confirmed facts are written as facts. Allegations are attributed. Disputed claims are labeled. Serious crime and safety stories are not treated as entertainment.
Sources
Major stories should link to a primary source, official statement, court document, established news organization or another source readers can inspect themselves.
Images and video
We favor licensed, public-domain or properly attributed photography. Third-party video should generally be embedded from the original publisher or linked to the original source rather than copied and re-uploaded.
Corrections
If a material fact changes or was wrong, the article should be updated promptly and the correction should be clear to readers.
